St Lucia
March 23 - 31, 2012

St. Lucia is part of the volcanic islands that make up the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Topside the island is lush and green and one of the most scenic islands in the West Indies. Some of the greatest attractions are the beautiful Pitons, twin mountain peaks that rise vertically out of the sea; the sulphur springs, a unique drive in volcano where open cauldrons of sulphur bubble and the Louis XVI mineral baths known for their therapeutic value. Anse Chastanet, our host hotel, is nestled in the middle of 400 acres on a breathtaking hillside with a fabulous view of the Pitons. One of the island's best beaches is located here and the sheltered bay area it sits in is home to a spectacular reef which ranges from 20 to 140 feet in depth. Finger, brain, flower and leaf coral line the area along with a variety of tube, barrel and vase sponges. All of this creates a bright mix of color and shelter for the many fish and crust a ceans that inhabit the reef.

Belize - M/Y Sun Dancer
April 14 - 21, 2012 - Wait List Open

Belize is home to the world's second largest barrier reef, a massive Blue Hole and three of the only four true coral atolls found in the hemisphere. Sun Dancer II specializes in the best diving the country has to offer, the walls of Lighthouse Reef Atoll, the outermost reef in Belize. They have had a liveAboard in Belize since February 1992. The diversity of the diving will amaze you. Underwater Belize offers a combination of reefs blanketed with coral and sponge growth and walls beginning as shallow as 20-40 feet.

The marine life that inhabits the barrier reef is extraordinary and diverse…everything from schools of tarpon, turtles and stingrays to a wide variety of tropical species, and of course, the famed Blue Hole. No matter how many times you dive this vertical cavern you'll never tire of it, the sheer size of it still boggles my mind. Perfectly round and 1,000 feet in diameter, the site has a maximum depth of 412 feet but you don't need to go deeper than 130 to explore the mouth of a cave that is filled with rows of stalactites and stalagmites. Diving the Blue Hole is one of the sport's "do it before you die" experiences, and just one more reason to come visit us in Belize.

Cayman Beac
April 28 - May 5, 2012

Cayman Brac is the middle sister of the three Cayman Islands. It is a coral island surrounded by reef with a population of about 1200 residents. It has changed very little since it was discovered in 1503 by Christopher Columbus. Despite its history of pirate adventure and hidden treasure, it remains a peaceful quiet hideaway not only for divers and snorkelers, but also for sports fishermen, bird watchers, rock climbers, and those who just want to relax.  The Brac retains the distinct charm of the Caribbean of many years ago. Gingerbread details on pastel colored houses are the creations of local carpenters trained as woodcraft artists for shipbuilding. The quiet of the streets is broken only by friendly greetings and welcomes for visiting tourists on their Cayman Vacation. On the bluff, cattle are tended and locals utilize the land for vegetable crops. Hikers will find unlimited areas to explore. The natural vegetation of the island includes many tropical plants and fruit trees - mango and papaya - as well as beautiful wild orchids. Rated as a premier worldwide diving destination by leading dive magazines, Cayman Brac is recognized for the unspoiled natural beauty of its spectacular marine environment. Much of its coral reef has been protected for future generations to enjoy by its designation as a marine park by the Cayman Marine Conservation Laws.

Sipadan & Borneo
May 26 to June 9, 2012

Borneo, the third largest island in the world, was once covered with dense rainforests. With swampy coastal areas fringed with mangrove forests and a mountainous interior, much of the terrain was virtually impassable and unexplored. Headhunters ruled the remote parts of the island until a century ago.

Borneo's forests are some of the most biodiverse on the planet. According to WWF, the island is estimated have at least 222 species of mammals, 420 resident birds, 100 amphibians, 394 fish, and 15,000 plants -more than 400 of which have been discovered since 1994. Surveys have found more than 700 species of trees in a 10 hectare plot -a number equal to the total number of species in Canada and the United States combined. After dark in the Borneo rainforest , unique sounds, smells, and sights emerge as animals unseen by day move about in search of food.

Perched on the northern tip of the island of Borneo lies Sabah, a tropical paradise of natural wonders, scenic beauty, rugged landscapes, cultural diversity and world class diving. This is the land of eco-treasures!

We will spend 6 days diving the waters around Mabul, Kapalia and the world famous Sipadan Island. The geographic position of Sipadan puts it in the center of the richest marine habitat in the world, the heart of the Indo-Pacific basin. More that 3000 species of fish and hundreds of coral species have been classified in this richest of ecosystems. Sipadan's wall and hanging garden of corals have been touted as one of the Top 5 diving sites in the world , its turquoise waters turning azure as the drop-off plunges 2,000 feet into the bottom of Celebes Sea. Mabul Island, a tiny islet 20-minutes boat ride from Sipadan, is a Mecca for macro-lovers. Its shallow waters hide a treasure trove of small critters: colorful nudibranchs, frogfish, crocodile fish, sea moths, oriental sea robin, blue-ring octopus, exotic shrimps and crabs are the normal fare. Mabul is also famous for its colony of playful mandarin fish, always ready for a flamboyant show of colors at dusk. Kapalai Island is a small sandbank along the famed Ligitan Reefs, just minutes away from Mabul. Small as it may seem, Kapalai hides a surprising number of weird and wonderful critters such as seahorses, octopus, and nudibranchs. It also offers the bigger attractions: sharks, turtles, and schooling jacks.

Nowhere else can you find nature weave such a colorful and complex tapestry. Satisfy your wanderlust and immerse yourself in an exhilarating adventure!

July 10 - 16, 2012

Tiger Sharks obviously get their common name from the stripes on their side. They can grow to over 12 feet long! We will be able to see these sharks in varying depths, during all hours of the day. Maldives
October 12 - 21, 2012

The Maldives Islands lie Southwest of India. Scattered across the equator in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the gem-like

islands of the Maldives depict the rare vision of a tropical paradise. Palm fringed islands with sparkling white beaches, turquoise lagoons, clear warm waters and coral reefs teeming with abundant varieties of marine flora and fauna, fascinates visitors as it has for thousands of years.

There are three distinctly different types of diving: inside the atolls, outside the atolls and inside the channels or passes, which is where the currents are strongest and you'll find the greatest congregation of fish life. Most intriguing are the cleaning stations, found around every corner and under every ledge. Groupers, Snappers, Surgeonfish, Eels, Parrotfish, even Giant Napoleon Wrasse park casually in corners, oblivious to all, (including cameras) while armies of wrasse, shrimp and other assorted cleaners pick at debris in their open gills and cavernous mouths.

The big attraction, however, are the schools of fish that patrol the reefs in colorful packs: Humpback and Black and White

Snappers, Trevally Jacks, Barracuda, Batfish, Unicornfish, Yellowback Fusiliers and Harlequin Sweetlips almost comical in design. The reef's larger inhabitants, including sharks, rays and occasionally even Whale Sharks, are often seen cruising in the blue.

Join us for this exciting dive adventure in the Maldives!
